Verbal Arts Centre is teaming with The Dry Arch Centre to offer their popular Reading Rooms for parents and children under 4 years.
The Sure Start project involves a multi-agency partnership of health, education, voluntary and community groups working closely together in the development of services for families with young children. The Dry Arch Centre is one of thirty-nine SureStart providers funded by the Department of Education. The project aims to provide a central point for children’s programmes and services within the area, providing support to families from the ante-natal stage to when your youngest child turns 4.
Through the Centre’s Sure Start programme, five taster sessions will be offered during July and August. These sessions will be held within Dry Arch’s Dungiven and Catherine Street, Limavady Centres. If you would like to book a place, call SureStart on 02877 742904.
Verbal Arts Centre will also be running a week-long course on vlogging, for 10-14 year olds.
Running from 7-11th August, 10am-2pm, the course will look at filming and editing techniques, using audio and music, adding effects, using DSLR and point-and-shoot cameras, and a range of social media tips and techniques.
